British actor Ian Gelder, best known for his role as Kevan Lannister in Game of Thrones, has died at the age of 74.
His death was announced by his husband, fellow actor Ben Daniels, who paid tribute to Gelder's "incredible talent, generosity and love."
Gelder had a long and successful career in film, television, and theater. He appeared in over 100 films and television shows, including "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring," "The Queen," and "Downton Abbey."
Gelder was also a respected stage actor. He performed in many productions at the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.
In a statement, Daniels said that Gelder was "a wonderful husband and a great friend." He added that Gelder "will be deeply missed by all who knew him."
